Omotayo Akapo holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from Queen Mary, the University of London specialising in Corporate/Commercial Law practice, Banking and Investment Law, Credit and Security Law and Media Law.

Tayo Akapo obtained her Barrister at Law (BL) from the Nigerian Law School with the call set of 2002 after obtaining a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and Diploma in Law from Ogun State University.

A member of the Nigerian Bar Association and Federation of Women Lawyers, she has fifteen years of practice experience with various companies as In-house counsel, first as In-house counsel with a commercial bank, as Legal Advisor with a vibrant Law Firm in London, as General Counsel/Legal Adviser of Communication Company and as an Associate Partner of a vibrant Law Firm before joining GTI as Group Company Secretary/Legal Adviser.
